Privacy Policy

Company: Budmum LLC
Effective Date: April 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Budmum LLC ("Budmum," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, book our services, or interact with us. This document also serves as our Notice at Collection for California residents.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of our platforms, and potentially from third parties.

A. Information Collected Directly from You

Booker Information

Contact and identity details of the individual making the reservation, including name, email address, phone number, and billing details.

Traveler Information

Details about the individual receiving the airport assistance service. This includes name, phone number, language preferences, and any special instructions. It may also include voluntarily provided health flags, mobility needs, or wheelchair requirements, which qualify as "Sensitive Personal Information" under California law.

Media and Visuals

We collect a photograph of the traveler, uploaded during the booking process, to aid our staff in physically identifying the traveler at busy airport curbsides. Under California law, a physical photograph is not considered "unique biometric data" unless it is processed using automated facial recognition technology, which we do not use.

Service Logistics

Information necessary to coordinate the service, such as flight details, travel dates, airport locations, and vehicle or rideshare information (including make, model, license plate, or live-tracking links).

Account Information

If you create a persistent user profile or account with us to save preferences for future trips, we collect the credentials and history associated with that account.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Device and Usage Data

When you visit our website, we automatically collect standard internet and electronic network activity. This includes your browser type, operating system, network information, timestamps, and data regarding your interaction with our website.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to operate our site, remember your preferences (such as in-progress booking drafts), and gather analytics to improve our digital services.

Specifically, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) for traffic measurement and conversion attribution, Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) for session recordings and heatmaps to diagnose usability issues, and PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) for product analytics and funnel measurement. Each of these vendors processes data on our behalf as a service provider. You can disable all three at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically.

Payment Information

We use a secure, third-party payment processor to handle transactions. We do not collect or store full credit card numbers on our servers; we only retain transaction records, payment statuses, and reference IDs necessary for accounting and customer support.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following business and commercial purposes:

Service Delivery

To schedule, coordinate, and seamlessly fulfill your airport assistance and concierge services.

Communication

To contact the booker and the traveler regarding specific bookings. This includes sending confirmations, receipts, and day-of-travel logistical coordination via communication platforms (such as SMS, phone calls, or video calls).

Customer Support & Dispute Resolution

To handle inquiries, process refunds, and investigate or resolve any service issues.

Business Operations

To maintain the security of our platform, prevent fraud, and comply with accounting, tax, and legal obligations.

Marketing & Analytics

To analyze website usage trends to improve our product offerings, and to send promotional communications, newsletters, or offers. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

3. How We Share Your Information

We respect your privacy and only share your information with third parties under the following circumstances:

Service Providers & Contractors

We share necessary logistical details (such as the traveler's name, photograph, and flight information) with our independent contractors (our "Buddies") who physically perform the airport meet-and-assist services.

Technology Vendors

We share data with third-party service providers that host our cloud infrastructure, process payments, facilitate SMS/email communications, and provide website analytics.

Legal & Safety

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Budmum LLC, our staff, our clients, or the public (for example, providing health flags to emergency medical services if a traveler falls ill).

No Sale of Data

Budmum LLC does not sell or rent your personal information to data brokers or third parties for their own cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain booking and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including accounting, tax, and legal defense requirements.

Specific Policy on Photographs: Traveler photographs are highly sensitive and are retained only for a short, temporary period after the specific travel service is completed to ensure safety and verification. After this period, they are securely deleted from our active servers unless you have specifically opted to save them within a persistent user account profile.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you specific rights regarding your personal data.

Right to Know and Access

You have the right to request a disclosure of the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete

You may request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain legal and accounting exceptions.

Right to Correct

You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You have the right to direct us to limit our use of your Sensitive Personal Information (such as health flags or mobility needs) to only what is strictly necessary to perform the services you requested.

Right to Opt-Out

You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Budmum does not sell your personal information; however, the use of analytics cookies described above may, depending on legal interpretation, qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.

To opt out, visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are honored automatically.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you (e.g., by denying service or charging different prices) for exercising your privacy rights.

Shine the Light Law

California's "Shine the Light" law permits residents to request an accounting of personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes within the past year. We do not currently disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

6. User Rights and Choices

Regardless of your state of residence, you have choices regarding your data:

Marketing Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving future marketing or promotional emails and SMS messages from us by following the "unsubscribe" instructions in those communications.

You may contact us to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data.
